Digital Lighthouse & Visa Cash App Racing Bulls: a new era for the Faenza team

The Faenza-based team continues its evolution in the world of Formula 1. After fourteen years as Scuderia Toro Rosso (2006–2019) and four seasons under the name Scuderia AlphaTauri (2020–2023), a new and significant rebranding arrived in 2024: the team became Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team. This change introduced a new title sponsorship and a completely renewed brand identity for the Red Bull-owned team. Its visual identity, language, and tone of voice have moved closer to a Gen Z audience, adopting a more direct, contemporary style strongly rooted in digital culture.

In this new phase, Digital Lighthouse continues to support the team as both creative and production partner, extending a collaboration that began more than a decade earlier. Once again, the production house created the launch clip for the team’s new car, the VCARB01, bringing together the expertise of its film division and CGI team. The result is a video that blends live-action footage and computer graphics into a visually striking narrative.

The official drivers, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, take center stage, placed within an environment that merges space-inspired imagery with video game aesthetics. The car emerges within a concrete setting shaped by futuristic tones, creating a visual style that perfectly reflects the team’s new spirit. To produce the footage, Digital Lighthouse transformed one of the team’s hangars in Faenza into a fully equipped film studio, building a set featuring an huge LED wall used as a dynamic backdrop for scenes with the drivers and the car.

The clip was unveiled during the team’s major launch event in Las Vegas, held during the week of the Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024—delivering an international showcase perfectly aligned with the energy and visual identity of the city. Throughout the 2024 Formula 1 season, Digital Lighthouse continued to work closely with the team, producing a large share of its official audiovisual content.

In particular, the CGI department developed productions dedicated to the launch of special liveries used during some of the most iconic Grands Prix on the calendar, including those in Miami, Singapore, and Las Vegas. These projects were designed to amplify the team’s presence across digital channels and to highlight the visual identity of the cars during key events for the global Formula 1 audience.

The collaboration continued into 2025, with Digital Lighthouse confirmed as the official Media Partner of VCARB. The production company created the launch clip and brand video for the second car of the Racing Bulls era, the VCARB02, along with other high-impact visual content. Among these, a standout project was the production dedicated to the spectacular special livery for the Miami Grand Prix 2025—one of the most appreciated pieces of content across the team’s social channels during the season.

With more than ten years of collaboration spanning three different identities—Toro Rosso, AlphaTauri, and now Visa Cash App Racing Bulls—the shared work between Digital Lighthouse and the Faenza team continues to evolve alongside Formula 1 itself. It is a journey that brings together cinema, technology, and visual innovation, helping to tell the story of modern motorsport through an increasingly spectacular and digital language.
