SENTIERI DI FERRO

Carriages without passengers, tracks without trains, ticket offices with no tickets to buy, stations without stationmasters — all this is “Sentieri di ferro”, a slow journey along a former Calabro-Lucanian railway that, abandoned at the end of the 1980s, has been partly converted into a cycling path. The documentary, filmed between Basilicata and Calabria, weaves together historical and natural elements with emotional ones, thanks to an unusual Rocco Papaleo who, nostalgic and poetic, recounts memories linked to his father and to “the railway of his hometown.”

CLIMB TO FLY Patagonia

From mountain peaks to the skies of Patagonia, climbing and paragliding across a land of striking contrasts — this is “Climb to Fly Patagonia”, the feat of Aaron Durogati who, over the course of two weeks, faces the harsh cold of South America by climbing four summits and launching from over 2,000 meters on Mount Mojon Rojo (2,170 m) to more than 3,000 meters on Aguja Poincenot (3,002 m). A challenge never before accomplished in Patagonia, it blends paragliding and climbing in a unique adventure that delivers powerful emotions and breathtaking views — the kind only the wild, remote lands at the southern edge of the continent can offer.
